Job Summary

Duty Manager and Duty Officer: The duty manager plays a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality living and meeting environment for guests and staff at Bayt Al Dhiyafah, the Patient Recovery Centre, guesthouses, on-call doctors’ facilities, and the Female Recreation Club. This leadership role involves planning, organizing, and overseeing housing, catering, and meeting services while ensuring exceptional customer service, facility upkeep, and compliance with HMC policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, control, and monitor accommodation and meeting room allocations to maximize resource utilization.
  • Supervise check-in processes for seamless guest experiences.
  • Coordinate catering requirements for guests and events.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on fixtures, fittings, and amenities.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping, Security, and Transportation to maintain service standards.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and report feedback to senior management.
  • Facilitate staff meetings to ensure team readiness for daily operations.
  • Maintain databases for occupancy levels and generate management reports.
  • Personally manage VIP guest experiences to ensure exceptional service.
  • Organize staff training and maintain records.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire procedures.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, or related field
    • Intermediate food hygiene certification
    • HACCP certification
    • Group training techniques
  • Desirable:
    • Project Management (PMA or equivalent)

Experience

  • Essential:
    • Minimum 4 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in Reservations, Guest Relations, Food & Beverage, or Front Office
  • Desirable:
    • 2 years of experience in a high-standard hotel company

Skills

    • Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken)

This role involves overseeing daily operations, leading teams, and ensuring compliance with HMC standards as outlined in SOP manuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in assigned areas to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Prepare and manage team schedules and duty assignments.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to maintain service quality.
